6.6 Insulation Faults
This is an in-process testintended for mass production of all cable covered in this document. The test electrode shall be of the link or bead-chain type and shall make intimate contact with the cable surface under test. The speed of the cable and the length of the electrode field shall ensure that each point of the cable is loaded with at least nine complete voltage cycles.
The test voltage is 2 kV (AC).
